Of Rats and Men:
Need we recall those terrible days? The days of scorn and scouring, of blame and bleakness, of violence and invictorious cowering?
This history is unconcealed; all know and all remember those days—centuries—governed by false fault and misplaced miscreancy, when the Hitchhiker Pestilence abused our charity and generosity to spread far and wide both its presence and our blame.
The real culprit sidled through unharmed as its visible victims were mercilessly mocked and mischieved. For Man's part, the plague was given. For Rat's part, it was ignorantly received, cultivated, delivered…by quick feet with light hearts of good cheer.
And what have we to show for it?
Abhorrence. Dread. Fright and might against our own. The detestation, in short, of the world, spurred on and grotesquely compounded by the hyperbole of history, which has persistently plagued Rat society through the present.
There are many manners in which the Rats' culture is misunderstood. Seek inspiration. Employ the Joy of the Rats to spread such truth.
"Historical Rats…
Lower than the filth of Man."
Some may say so. No.
