After a 3-week-long ratreat in reflection of the great milestone that is the Rat Club's first birthday, We realize our grave mistake.
We missed the monument. We overlooked the occurrence.
Due to our trifecta of introspection, We failed to commemorate our fantabulous feast, and in lieu spent the day reading rat-based literature such as "The Limerick of Uncle Rat." Now, in belated celebration, We give the fete the honour it is due, by sharing a perfect vision of Our society's goal. We share with you Rats a record of our good Queen's National Rat Day Address:
"On this holiday, this beautiful National Rat Day, I implore you to remember with me our beloved fallen rats. Recall the scores of verminkind, falsely labeled as catalysts of the Black Plague. They went to their graves in shame. Remember the innocent rats, ruthlessly persecuted by exterminators. But take heart, Rat Club! Today is also the day to think of our future! Dream of the new age, the glorious days when rats shall rule and avenge their brave ancestors. The Joy of the Rats will be hidden no more. Merry National Rat Day."
Is any speech more inspiring than those words which did grace our queen's noble tongue? Do any words more enratpture the Rat's heart, or reinvigorate the Joy of the Rats?
Perhaps.
What words fill you with the most gRATitude for our mission?
